Grimm /Stewart/Schminke Pig Sale

Once again we are having a spring pig sale with Jim Grimm and this year we have added pigs from Al Schminke to the sale. Jim will provide around 60 head of Yorkshire gilts and barrows. Al will have about 30 head of Chesters and crosses and I will provide around 40 head of Durocs and crosses.

At this time I plan to have about 15 head of January and February Duroc gilts, about 15 head of January and February Duroc barrows, a couple head of early January Hamp gilts and about 15 head of crosses most farrowed the first week of February.

We will offer the very first pigs sired by our new herdsire, Meatpacker. He was the champion boar at the 2011 Indiana State Fair from Rick Whitman. He is sired by Absolute and his dam is a full sister to Full Shift. Most of his pigs are February pigs and even though they are young they look tremendous. We will also have Durocs sired by Secretariat our son of the $60,000 Triple Crown. He is also doing a great job siring pigs that are moderate framed, heavy boned and big ribbed. Our Hamp gilts will be sired by The Real Deal (Kilmers) and the crosses will be red and black belted pigs sired by our herdsire Relentless.
